Executive Coaching and Business Coaching

Until recently, coaching was the sole domain of senior level executives who wanted assistance in becoming the best they could be, especially in developing and polishing their management and leadership skills. But in recent years coaching has become available to employees at all levels of the organization, from front line supervisors to the chairman of the board. The broader acceptance of coaching within organizations has made the benefits and power of executive and management coaching available to key professionals, supervisors, managers, executives and organizational leaders.

Many large, medium, and even smaller size organizations know that in order to grow and thrive, or even survive, they must have the right people in leadership positions and these people must be at the top of their game. These key people can’t be standing still, they must be constantly learning, growing, improving and achieving their potential. In today’s complex, demanding, competitive business environment, anything less than constant learning and improvement could spell disaster for either the individual or the entire organization.

Who Contracts for Executive and Management Coaching?

Since these coaching services help both the employee and the employer, either one can choose to pay for the services. When the corporation is interested in the development of their employee (supervisor, professional, manager, executive), and may actually be suggesting certain developmental changes, then many times they are willing to pay for the coaching and development services. In such cases, we would be happy to meet with appropriate corporate decision makers and provide a proposal to meet specific targeted developmental goals to benefit the individual and the organization.

On the other hand, it is not uncommon for an employee to see the need for further development in their management and leadership skills and seek appropriate guidance and expertise to achieve these objectives. In these cases, we would be happy to contract with the individual, and provide him or her with a proposal and plan to meet targeted developmental goals.

In either case, we believe a minimum commitment of three months is necessary to begin to see the results form the coaching process. You didn’t get to where you are now over night. So it will take some time to develop the awareness, focus and momentum to get to where you want to be.
